Denise Ulivieri

Denise Ulivieri is a History of Architecture university researcher in the Department of Civilizations and Forms of Knowledge, University of Pisa, where she teaches Institutions of History of Architecture and Town Planning as part of the three-year Cultural Heritage Studies degree course, and Vernacular Architecture and History of Contemporary Architecture for the post-graduate degree course in History and Forms of Visual and Performing Arts and New Media.
She collaborates with the European University Center for Cultural Heritage, Ravello, where she is mainly concerned with local seismic cultures. She is a lecturer at the Volterra University Laboratory (LUV), and since 2011 has been a member of the LUV scientific committee. Since 2010 she has been a member of the Accademia degli Euteleti di San Miniato (Pisa), and since 2013 a member of the Accademia dei Sepolti di Volterra (Pisa).
Since 2013 she has been a member of the Board of Directors of the “Trossi Uberti” Cultural Arts Foundation, Livorno. She works with Warsaw University’s Faculty of Architecture – Department of Polish Architecture, and with Detroit University’s Mercy School of Architecture.
Ulivieri is the editor of the series “Quaderni di ecostoria” (Ecohistory Notebooks) published by University Press.
