Luis Gonzalez-Boado

Architect with more than 30 years of work, he works in his own office and has won several architectural competitions (www.luisboado.com).
Luis has been Doctor Professor in the department of Architectural Projects at the Architecture School of the University of Seville for the last 15 years. He holds a PhD in Architecture from the University of Seville (Spain). His subject is architectural project design. He wrote his thesis, “Limits”, dealing with the concept of boundaries in architecture. His work has been published in different media.
He has conducted several funded investigation projects about urban renovation, especially on urban areas with old out-of-order industrial settlements.
Furthermore, he is as focused on architectural teaching as he is in the creative process. Another field of interest is the new uses and rehabilitation of historic city centers. He is also very interested in photography and its relation with architecture.
